Wilson closes Dairyland Showdown with fifth-place finish in $40,000 finale

Making a stop at Independence (Iowa) Motor Speedway on Tuesday night before heading to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the three-day Dairyland Showdown, the Big Frog Motorsports team geared up for a four-race stretch with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

Wilson finished 22nd in the Tuesday night special and also finished outside the Top-20 in the first preliminary night of the Dairyland Showdown. Daulton faired much better on Friday evening with a seventh-place prelim finish before landing his best run in Saturday's finale. Wilson started eighth in the 50-lapper and rounded out the Top-5 behind Ryan Gustin, Bobby Pierce, Jonathan Davenport, and Nick Hoffman.

Wilson is 8th in the current series point standings.
